What a beautiful mrning! Going to work with the sun rising was so refreshing. Thank God for His creation.
This weekend is Labor Day weekend. Come and join us in our AM and PM services.
Laboring can be tiring but the Lord can give us rest. Give back to God a day of thanksgiving by being in His house. You may say what do I have to thankful for? I have poor health, large debt, bad children, and a gloomy future.
God's word says He will be give us life and life everlasting. Come and hear what God will have to say to YOU.

I Didn't Catch That?
"What did you just say?” Have you ever caught yourself asking someone this question? It usually occurs after a misspoken word or remark, or a sarcastic comment in response to frustration with an individual. What did you feel when you asked someone that question? Our human emotions can range from offense of what we perceived was said to disbelief that such a comment was made. No matter what the outcome produced of the initial comment, either the speaker wasn’t cognitively pursuing an intelligent conversation, or they were being mean-spirited.
King Solomon tells us that, “A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” (Proverbs 25:11). In other “words”, a well-chosen word is not only honorable, but extremely beautiful, precious, and valuable. In the first and third chapters of James we learn that one who doesn’t keep a tight rein on their tongue not only destroys and invalidates their testimony, they also will destroy themselves for all eternity. So, we now know the power of the spoken word. We can lift someone up with well-chosen speech or we can crush them under the heel of our verbal decay. It comes down to what we value more.
While in this same thought process, let’s look at how we talk with God. Do we come to Him looking for a handout, or do we come to Him bringing praise and adoration to His throne room? Do we pay attention to the words we speak during our time in prayer to Him or do we mumble our way through a prayer that we have said exactly the same for fifteen years? Do we make “deals” with God knowing that we will never keep our end of the bargain? Remember, you are conversing with the God that created all things (even the things we don’t even know about yet). Choose your words correctly. For a correctly spoken word is indicative of the state of your heart and mind. You really don’t want to hear God ask you, “What did you just pray?”

What a full and life changing two weeks Bonnie and I have had.
Our daughter and grandsons are now living in Independence and our lives are more active and full than ever.
God is a faithful God in all situations and in all life changing events. He has been proven over and over again of his sustaining power.
We have had exciting services at Eastpoint. New faces and great testimonies and God’s love.
This Saturday is our block party. We are so ready to reach our community.
Sunday my sermon is titled “Dry Bones”. I can’t wait to preach it. You have to come
and be apart of Eastpoint Family Church. We truly are a family wanting more people to come and share what God can do for you. There is room for YOU.
Our Sunday evenings have been so refreshing. Just resting God’s presence is something that can not be experienced just anywhere.

What a great day we had in the Lord last Sunday. A soul found Christ
and returned on Sunday evening. She was wanting to commit her life totally to Him.
This Sunday in the AM service, I will be sharing " To Love Like Christ" Wow what a challenge for all of us!
Sunday evening, in our evangelist service, our message will be "Passing through dark valleys." We have suffered through some dark valleys and
maybe you are now. Come experience God's presence.
Start reading Colossians 13:4 "Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud"
See you Sunday. Out of town guests are always welcome.

Eastpoint Family Church had a glorious Celebrate Freedom Sunday, July 5, with a pot luck dinner afterwards.
Our praise and worship team presented a beautiful Fourth of July drama and melody of songs.

Come Sunday for a sermon "Treating People Right" referring to James 2:1
"My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism". Do you treat your wife or husband like dirt but a neighbor like a queen or king?
Sunday evening, we will be continuing in our "Stressbuster Series "How to Deal with Indecision". Who doesn't deal with indecision? We all do!
God is our source for decision making.

Have you ever judged someone real severely and then ended up doing the same offense? We all have , if we would admit it.
Come Sunday, my sermon is on Judging Others.
We do not live in condemnation but in libery and freedom in Christ Jesus.
I am excited about what God is going to do in all our lives.
This Sunday PM service we will be Pursuing Jesus. A time when we come and seek God's face. Last Sunday night, we had four souls come to the Lord. A gentleman came to the Lord that I have been praying for quite awhile.
Give God a Sunday with Him.

We had a glorious Service Sunday. Our praise and worship team ushered us in the presence of Jesus. God's Holy Spirit was manifested. God spoke to us that we are vessels that are empty and some vessels are cracked. Only God Himself can fill your vessel and fill the cracks with His love.
We continued our series on "Having Real Faith". A soul found Christ at our altars. Praise the Lord!
I reminded our congregation how 16 people had faith in God to start up Eastpoint Family Church. They stepped out in faith believing God was going to build a church and He is!!
Sunday PM we continues our series "Stressbusters". Reminding us to take time to relax and refresh ourselves. We shoud exchange our pressure for God's peace. Bonnie and I are trying to practice what I preach.
How can you have faith when you dont't believe God will help with temptation, stress, and discouragement?
Got some questions, we will preach the truth. If you know the truth, you will be set free!
Come this Father's Day Sunday and experience God's love and God's people who are just like you.

My heart was heavy Sunday AM. As I came into service I was hearing how some of our people had stayed out too late to attend church and how they just didn't want to get up or they were too tired.
My sermon was about temptations and how we can yeld to them. And we can, can't we? Sunday PM, we started our sermon series "Stressbusters". Do you have stress, disappointment, and discouragement in your life?
